some time last night our boiler quit.

I swear to god, that thing hates me! the feeling is mutual.
every time my parents leave me alone for a few hours, it quits. we can go on week long vacations and it's fine, but as soon as I'm alone it decides to turn itself off.
fun.
no hot water, no heat, risk of gas explosion if you turn it on wrong.... great.

and then my laptop died D:
along with all my stuff. like photoshop >.<
and this little desktop computer I have can't run photoshop right now. I need to upgrade it's memory =_='
actually... it can't even run my tablet at the moment, so needless to say, no artwork for a while.

I think it has something to do with falling off my bed a few months ago. but it was fine, other than a minor crack in the casing. no problems with it whatsoever until 3 days ago. but suddenly every time I put pressure on the front of it (by the finger pad) it would turn itself off.
today, it turned itself off, and when I got it back on, the back-lighting on the screen is gone. can't see a damn thing. can't find anything, can't click on anything.

so now I need to decide... do I spend the money on upgrading this little desktop (Decepticon), fix my laptop (Ed), or do I buy a new laptop?

Decepticon needs:
a wireless adapter ($50.00)
more memory ($60.00)
a Muli-head USB Hub ($30.00)
and a new monitor (around $2-300.00)
a new keyboard/mouse ($40.00)
total = $380-480.00

I have no clue what it would cost to fix Ed, if it's even fixable >.<

if I buy a new laptop, it would be a mac. I will not do vista again. it would cost somewhere between $1500 and $2000 for anything even remotely close to what Ed was.
